HARP4 is a joint effort of four Belgian “Kings of the Bluesharp”; four knights in shining harmour, teaming up for the very first time – and, let’s make this absolutely clear from starters: for the occasion, and for the fun of it. We’re not talking about a brand new touring party for the next couple of years here. This ‘one-off’ All-Star super group consists of Big DAVE (the Electric Kings, 44RAVE), Steven DE BRUYN (El Fish, The Rhythm Junks) &  Steven TROCH (Fried Bourbon, USA “King Of Swing” – 2012, USA “King of Chromatic Bluesharmonica” – 2014); three giants of the Belgian roots scene, supplemented with Baby PAUL (the De Laat Brothers), Belgium’s upcoming bluesharp talent par excellence – and supported by a brilliant backing band that includes Luke ‘Alexander’ Janssens (the Electric Kings, Last Call) on guitar, Frederik Van den Berghe (44RAVE, the Whodads, Admiral Freebee, Trixie Whitley) on drums, Sjang Coenen (44RAVE, the Whodads, Admiral Freebee, Sioen, Milow) on bass, and Niels Verheest (Blue Blot, Internationals, the Seatsniffers, Howlin’ Bill, the Whodads) on piano & Hammond.

Together they’ll celebrate the vibe of the blues harp; that wonderful instrument that everybody can afford but oh so few know how to make it speak… If any, it’s the blues harp that is the instrument with the most personal of sounds; no amps, mics nor effect racks can hide it if you don’t know how to play, no guitar nor piano player can reach that kind of personality in tone that only pure breathing can achieve.
